Me-Me-Me-Me

I'm Jamie. I'm 26 and in New York...not any exciting part of New York, the small town, cows and small town part of New York and I hate it. I'm a stay-at-home mom to three (11,6, and 17 months) and we have one on the way, due in June. One day when my baby is in school (maybe sooner) I'll work my way back into the workforce into the computer technology field.

I know Jen from a mommy board we use to be on together...she's awesome and a great sourse of entertainment

Jamie, I promise it is way worse here!!!! Jefferson City bites! If I could pick up some cheap dentures for resale, I could make millions here. If I opened a book store, I don't think I would get one customer.

I was so much happier in NC! There's actually a part of me that resents Bela for moving us here...and as if that's not bad enough we've been living with his parents since we moved here. We gave up a house, a good school system (not that this school system is bad...NC school system just has more money), and I left my mother, all in NC to move here and for him to take a several thousand dollar pay cut (not to be able to afford sheite) and live with his parents in freakin' BFE. Guess what...all those "white trash" jokes people tell...they're true! This area seriously has NO money and there's no hope for any big businesses here...seriously going into IT here I am screwed...in NC--Raleigh area-- it's so different. The absolute worst part of it is talking to ANYONE here about how much I don't like it is impossible, they all look at me like I'm nuts. SORRY I have never been a small town, country girl and NEVER will be!

I so understand. I like the country, but I need a city within driving distance to me. I miss real malls, movie theaters that have been updatd in the past 30 years, real night clubs, and people with some scrogging manners! (word filter)
I can't believe you are still living with the inlaws. Screw that! My inlaws were so nasty that I could barely stand them and they lived in Ireland. It is just too hard living with your parents or his parents when you are married with children. Do you remember all the sheite I had to go through with me taking care of my own mom. I feel for ya!

Rusty, you are silly. Just cause you live in a trailor, in a small town, and you are a redneck doesn't make you trailor trash. Trailor trash is how you act. Half my dad's family is trailor trash and the other half are rednecks from OK. I spent the summer in a trailor in the south valley of Albuquerque, but that doesn't make me an illegal Mexican. lol.

own a house in vt is in a small town, staying in a travel trailer 21' gulf stream in back yard. the sewer hook up is 6 pieces of white sewer pipe stuck together dumping into a septic tank that has to be taken apart eveytime so city doesnt do anything.

Oh yeah... I didn't grow with any sort of prejudicial thoughts shoved on me by my parents or anything of that sort. The way I feel now developed after years of seeing things with my own two eyes and being treated certain ways by certain people and seeing how they treat others. Furthermore, if you (not anyone here, people in general) are gay (sorry if that's not PC), an evolutionist, or even a "Jesus Freak" for that matter I respect your right to be that, but don't go shoving it down my throat or (more importantly) my children's throat.

Jamie, we need radicals to warp out children's mind. Otherwise they might grow up innocent, nice, and sweet. LOL!
I think the Jesus Freaks piss me off the most. When I was a teenager, a few friends and I dosed some cid. We were at a park that everyone always met up at to find the parties or eachother to make a party. There were always a coupld hundred of us, too. One night the bible thumpers came along with their megaphones telling us we were going to hell. They loved to follow us at concerts in what not, but this was the first time they bugged us at our park. They were screaming in people's faces. One of them came up to my best friend Billy and I. We were trippin hard by that time. Mr. Jesus was talking so much sheite that Billy just decked him. He didn't say a word, just pick up his fist and swooshed it past me. He broke the bible thumper's nose, too. They left, and never came back again. Funnies thing I have seen yet.
Another one kept telling me the world was going to end in 1998 (this was in 1994). The dollar and the signs told him that. I found great pleasure arguing with him for a bit. Then when I had his theory torn apart he started flipping out. The guy was yelling and screaming in a public place. I had no clue who he was either. I was just waiting for my friend to get off work. I thought that was pretty funny too. Wonder what he thinks since it is 2008?

We all make mistakes and do stupid sheite, that's part of learning and growing as a person. I don't want my children to BE me...I want them to be BETTER than me.
